About

This blog was created by Gary Dillard as an adjunct to a website on the Bisbee Deportation to allow me to essay on readings I’m doing on that subject and to allow and solicit input from others on this most controversial subject.

Yes, it’s still eight+ years till the centennial of the event, but there’s a lot of research and writing that needs to be done between now and then. There’s a lot that hasn’t been said and not all that much time to say it.garydillard-62751

Understanding the Deportation requires understanding of what is essentially a totally different culture which, fortunately, shares our language. The first two decades of the 20th century are a neglected time in our nation’s history, but one worthy of our interest. That’s what this blog will attempt to do — develop an interest in a past which, though it has almost disappeared, has a powerful influence on how we think and act today.

I look forward to your comments.
